Foxes finally getting what they deserve – Drinkwater
Leicester City are now sitting where they deserve to be in the league, according to Danny Drinkwater, after they recorded their sixth win in a row, last night.
The Foxes were languishing perilously close to the Premier League drop zone before the sacking of Claudio Ranieri, with Craig Shakespeare coming in and turning around their fortunes – winning his first five Premier League games in charge and helping them into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
His side now sit tenth in the Premier League table after the 2-0 win over Sunderland, and midfielder Drinkwater feels they have earned their position in the top half.
“I think that’s where we deserve to be,” he said. “If you look at the last two months, how we’ve risen, it’s a big compliment to the squad, to the staff. It’s where we belong and we’ll keep pushing on.

“April is a busy month, we’ve got the Champions League as well which is exciting, but we’ll keep going and hopefully we’ll keep picking up the points like we do.
“It’s about being patient, doing what we can, and finding what it takes to win on the pitch. Week in, week out, we’ve got players who can come in and contribute which is a part of our game.
“The more players that can come on and do that, the better.”
