Fuchs relieved to see Leicester win against physical West Brom
Christian Fuchs admitted he got the physical battle he expected at The Hawthorns and was relieved to see his Leicester City side come away with the three points.
Jamie Vardy continued his excellent recent run with the only goal of the game as the Foxes moved onto 40 points in the Premier League.
It was the England striker’s 15th goal of the season and moves City up to 11th in the league table with four games left to play.
“It’s always hard to come here. When you’re playing against West Bromwich Albion, it’s always a hard fight. They’re always physical and strong,” Fuchs said.
“It was maybe scrappy at times but it’s three points and a great win for us. It always helps when we go up 1-0. It was a great goal from Vardy and we head home with three points.
“Obviously, for us as defenders, it is very important to keep clean sheets. When we’re able to do that, it gives us a great chance.
“We know how they play, they are very physical and play a lot of long balls, they have the players to do so.
“I think we managed it pretty well. We have three home games and a nice away game at Man City. We want to get as many points as possible.”
