Hull’s Clucas ready to add more goals after stunner
Sam Clucas has been waiting all season for a chance to show off his shooting ability, and the Hull City midfielder believes there is more to come after helping the Tigers move a step closer towards Premier League survival.
Clucas lashed in a super volley from 25 yards in Hull’s 2-0 home win against Watford, preserving their two-point gap over Swansea City.
The Swans sit in the last relegation spot, but kept the pressure on with a 2-0 win against Stoke – but Hull’s momentum looks likely to see them safe.

Goals have been a problem this season, but if players like Clucas can start chipping in then Marco Silva’s men can start dreaming of a miraculous escape after being relegation certainties earlier this year.
“I’ve been waiting for one of those chances all season. That’s my position on the edge of the box – I had a go and fortunately it came off for me,” he said.
“It’s always nice to score, but it’s even better when you see the three points on the board for the team and for the fans.
“I always set myself a target for the season in terms of goals. I haven’t scored as many as I would have liked so far this season, but I’m pleased that Saturday’s was an important one as it gave us that extra cushion in the game.”
