Man Utd’s fight for top four will go down to the wire says Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini insists that the battle for the top four will go right the way down to the wire, and has called on his Manchester United teammates not to lose faith.

Jose Mourinho’s side were held at home by West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, their 11th draw this season in the league.

It was a familiar story as they failed to put away numerous chances at Old Trafford, failing to break down a resolute Baggies defence in the goalless draw.

But with ten games left in the season and Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City rivalling them for the top four – behind title-chasers Spurs and Chelsea – there are plenty of twists and turns remaining.

“There are ten games, 30 points available so we have to keep going,” he said.

“There are a lot of big games coming and we have to be ready. There are six points available next week and I hope we can take them.

“We’ve lost a lot of points like that, but that’s football and we have to keep fighting.

“An early goal [is the key], the (early) chance has to be a goal.

“When you play away, the other team tries to attack. It’s not easy to play at Old Trafford, they came to take a point or win with a counter-attack but we have to find a solution to win the game.

“We tried our best [against West Brom], we did everything to win the game, the spirit was there.”
