Niang: I need to do more to earn permanent Watford deal
With Watford having already announced Tom Cleverley will make his loan move a permanent deal at Vicarage Road this summer, on loan striker M’Baye Niang is keen to do the same.
The 22-year-old joined Walter Mazzarri’s side from AC Milan in January, but has struggled for goals since his effort against Burnley in a 2-1 victory in early February.
The Hornets were winless in four before Saturday’s victory over struggling Sunderland, moving Mazzarri’s men back into the safety of mid-table.
But with Niang already stating that his future may lie away from the San Siro, he is aware he needs to do more to convince Watford’s owners to splash the cash and make him a permanent fixture at Vicarage Road.
And he hopes that helping the Hornets to a high league finish this season will be enough to secure him the move he craves.

“The aim is to prove that I can be a big help to the team. I would like to stay here longer than just this season,” said the former Caen forward.
“I said when I first arrived that I want to stay long-term and I still have a big desire to make a success of things here.”
