Prodl eyes top-half finish for Hornets
Watford may have reached the 40-point mark in the Premier League last weekend, but defender Sebastian Prodl has no intention of taking it easy in the last few games of the season.
In what was their third home win in a row, the Hornets defeated Swansea City 1-0 to virtually assure themselves of safety, and a third consecutive season of top flight football at Vicarage Road.
The result actually lifted them into the top half of the table, but they’ll face a tough task in staying there as they have a difficult run-in that includes fixtures against Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.
But with relegation no longer a worry, Austria international Prodl has set Watford a new target and has said he’ll go into those games with confidence.

“Even though we have 40 points we shouldn’t be easy going. We have a big chance now – we are top 10 at the moment and it would be great to finish in the top ten. This is a new target for the team,” said Prodl.
“I think the second season is always a difficult one, but we’ve secured Premier League status more or less now and we should move forward.
“Now it’s up to us, and if we can finish in the top ten it will be brilliant.
“These can be games to enjoy now because with 40 points we are more or less on the safe side, so if we face them with more confidence we can take some points.”
