Schneiderlin backing Everton prodigy Davies for special future
With a desire to learn and constantly improve his game, Everton prodigy Tom Davies has the ability to become a “special” player, at least according to teammate Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Frenchman only joined the Toffees in January, but has already been keeping more than half an eye on his side’s youngest talent.
Davies has been a revelation at Goodison Park so far this season, lighting up the Premier League with a stellar performance against Manchester City in January while scoring his second top-flight goal against Leicester earlier this month.
It’s left even Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard calling him a “superstar”, with Schneiderlin far from surprised at the impact of the 18-year-old.

“For an 18-year-old to keep up the quality of play he has shown every week is very special,” Schneiderlin said. “He’s a guy who listens to all the players and every time someone tells him something, he takes it in. He tries to do the good things and correct the little things he might do wrong.
“He is strong on the ball, has a good view of the game and is someone with great energy. He deserved his new contract and he is a guy who comes from here, comes from Everton.
“He needs to keep working, improve every day and be the best he can be.
“For someone who is 18, he has a lot of talent and can add more to his game to be one of the special guys in England.”
