Silva wary pressure-free Watford could be bad news for Hull
Marco Silva says that Hull City are targeting three points against Watford on Saturday, but recognises that the fixture could be tougher now that the Hornets have reached 40 points.
The Tigers sit two points above the relegation zone in 17th place, with five games to go, and host Watford at the KCOM as they look to secure Premier League survival.
Watford’s 1-0 victory against Swansea last week means the Hornets are now all but safe from relegation, and Silva believes this could mean the visitors will be able to play with more freedom.
“They have reached 40 points and they maybe don’t feel pressure now,” said Silva.
“But this means that they can play their football with comfort and confidence. Whether that is good for them we will see, but all we know is that we can expect a tough game.
“They are a good team and have good individual players as well, their organisation is always good, we know we may need patience and we want to cause them problems.
“It is a big fight that we are in and so we need to look only at our work and at our performances, taking points is the only important thing for us.
“This is a fight the players are ready for, they have worked hard all week because they want a better result than last weekend.”
