Chilwell desperate for Foxes to bounce back

Leicester defender Ben Chilwell hopes his side can rediscover winning ways as they welcome Bournemouth to King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Chilwell was the Foxes’ only goal-scorer, netting his first professional goal when they lost 6-1 to Tottenham on Thursday.

The result was Leicester’s heaviest defeat since they lost 5-0 to FC Porto in a Champions League clash back in December, when they returned to form and beat Manchester City 4-2 three days later.

Thursday was a dominant display from Mauricio Pochettino’s men, with an incredible four goals from Harry Kane solidifying Spurs’ in second place.

But 20-year-old Chilwell hopes the team can bounce back quickly and claim three points from the Cherries to finish above them in the top half of the Premier League table.

“Obviously it was a disappointing game, the result shows how we weren’t up to it against quality opposition,” he said.

“We’ve had a great few months with a lot of good games.

“We hope this is just a blip and we’ll go again on Sunday and finish the season the way the last few months have gone for us – it has a massive impact on our position in the table.

“We want to finish as high as possible in the table, it’s a big thing for us to finish the season well.”
