Leicester City dealt double summer transfer blow
Leicester City have been dealt a double transfer blow with the announcement that Riyad Mahrez wishes to leave and reports Turkish target Oguzhan Ozyakup is not available to them.
Besiktas president Fikret Orman believes the Turkish international has enough quality to play at the highest level and does not believe the Foxes qualify.
City look set to be without Mahrez next season after the Algerian winger made public his intentions to leave the club during the summer.
Mahrez was instrumental in guiding Leicester City to the Premier League title two seasons ago and helped them reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League this term.
But with the Foxes not in Europe next year, the winger looks set to move on but Orman does not wish Ozyakup to be his replacement.
“We will sell players if we receive the right offers,” Orman is quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
“We have not received the right offer yet for Oguzhan and, as I have said before, he will only join a club of the highest level.
“I would not for example sell him to Leicester City. I want him to play at the highest level.”
