Ramsey: Gunners will concentrate on own game
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has admitted the Gunners will be concentrating on their own game and not the threats posed by Chelsea as they prepare for this weekend’s FA Cup Final at Wembley.
The likes of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have set the Premier League alight this season as Chelsea were crowned champions, scoring and creating chances for fun.
But the Welsh international is convinced the key to lifting the trophy this Saturday is about identifying and then delivering on Arsenal’s key strengths and not worrying about the opposition.
“We’ll be focusing mostly on ourselves and how we want to play,” he said. “We’ll have a chat with some of the staff for what is expected of us.
“We’ll all be ready and tuned in to what we’ve got to do to stop that.
“Early on in the week we’ll probably see some clips or try to work on something on the training ground on where we can get into dangerous positions to hurt them.
“We’ll be working on that, and we’ll also be working on where they’re strong and how we can nullify that.
“I think the way we started the [home] game in the first half was very good. We won the game in the first half really. We were very quick, we counter-attacked well, closed them down and got about them and everything seemed to come together on that day.
“I’m sure something similar will be required to beat them in the final as well.”
