We want to end season on a high, says West Brom’s Nyom
West Bromwich Albion defender Allan Nyom has vowed the Baggies will keep on fighting ahead of their last match of the Premier League season.
Tony Pulis’s side travel to Swansea City on Sunday as the 2016/17 campaign draws to a close.
With Albion safe in mid-table, and Swansea confirming their top flight status for another season following their 2-0 win over Sunderland last weekend, there is little riding on the outcome of the clash at the Liberty Stadium.
However, 29-year-old Nyom, who signed for the Baggies last summer from Watford, insists the players are relishing the chance to end the season on a high, having lost six of their previous seven games.
Albion were beaten 3-1 by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Tuesday night, but remain in a strong position to secure a top-half finish.
“We were disappointed to lose against a very good Manchester City side,” said the Cameroon international.
“Everyone can see that the effort is still there but things just aren’t quite clicking the way they were before.
“We will keep fighting until the end of the season.
“We are looking forward to finishing on a high against Swansea.”
