Burnley linked with moves for two Championship defenders
Burnley have been linked with a move for Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan.
Sean Dyche is keen to add to his squad and has earmarked the defender who turned down a place at university in order to pursue a career in football.
A fee of around £3million has been reported for the defender but comments by Bristol City manager Lee Johnson suggest it could cost more to prise him away from Ashton Gate.
Johnson confirmed to the official club website that there was interest in his players.
“At the moment it’s a very expensive time to be a buying club. And that goes for our players too,” he said.
No deal between the Championship club and Burnley is believed to be imminent, with Bristol City waiting on several players to decide on their futures.
Johnson has confirmed on a number of occasions that he is under no pressure to sell players, however he might be tempted should that give City more buying firepower themselves.
And Burnley appear to be keeping their options open as they have also been linked with a move for Leeds United left back Charlie Taylor.
The 23-year-old is out of contract at Elland Road and appears to have his heart set on an exit this summer, but as he is under 24 he would command a fee.
