Koscielny confident this youngster will make Arsenal first team
Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny has revealed which young Gunner could be ready to break through into the first team.
The French defender has identified winger Jeff Reine-Adelaide as the one to watch in north London and Koscielny is desperate for his compatriot to make it at the highest level.
Arsenal are expected to keep the 19-year-old around the main squad instead of loaning him out next season and are hopeful of big things from the French under-19 international.
Reine-Adelaide was signed by Arsene Wenger from Lens in 2015 and has made six appearances for the Gunners first team so far.
However he has been limited to cup competitions with half his game time coming in the FA Cup and the other coming in the EFL Cup.
Nevertheless, Koscielny is confident the midfielder can make the step up and compete for a spot in the senior ranks.
“I hope it’s Jeff Reine-Adelaide,” the Gunners skipper said.
“He’s a young boy but I think he has a lot of quality.
“He plays some games every season and I think he can improve a lot. He can learn a lot with us. He has all the quality and after that, it’s in his head to work more and to want to achieve something with this club.
“I hope he will start next season, play a lot and improve with us.”
