Leicester City captain expects more consistency next year
Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has called for greater consistency from his side next term as they look to bounce back from disappointing Premier League campaign.
The Foxes became the worst defending champions of the league as they finished 12th last season although at times they were considerably closer to relegation.
That saw Craig Shakespeare replace title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri and Morgan was relieved to see the Foxes return to form late in the season.
“We know how good we can be on our day. That’s what it’s all about, being the best we can be. We need to go out there and show that,” he said.
“We need to remember what we achieved the season before and get back to that.
“Next season, we’ll look for more consistency and I think we’ll come good. It’s been incredible and something we didn’t think was possible.
“There has been ups and downs this season,” he added. “It’s not the season, off the back of last year, that we expected but we came good in the end.
“We had a sticky first half of the season but everyone knows that, in the second half, we came good. It was more of the Leicester of last season.”
