Watford forward keen to be a Success story next season
Watford’s record signing Isaac Success is keen to make a bigger impact at Vicarage Road next season.
The £12.75m signing from Grenada struggled in his first season in the Premier League – scoring once in 20 appearances for the Hornets.
The 21-year-old suffered with injuries last term but is looking forward to kicking on under new boss Marco Silva.
He said: “It certainly will be a new era with the new coach. We hope for a better season, starting from August 12.
“I really want to do better in the coming season for Watford and also in the league, and for Nigeria, any time I am invited.”
Success only featured once for Nigeria last season and hopes that if performances improve for Watford, then he can have more of an impact at international level.
He added: “I feel bad that I have not been able to feature many times for the Super Eagles.
“There have been either injuries or some other issue during the times I was invited.
“I am, however, restating my commitment to the national team and I promise to give my best and shine whenever I’m called again.”
Meanwhile, Watford have confirmed they will play two friendlies against European opposition during their week-long pre-season trip to Austria in July.
Silva’s men will face Viktoria Plzen on July 18 and then Spanish side Eibar on July 22.
