West Ham star Snodgrass thrives against the best

West Ham’s Robert Snodgrass says he does not fear any player and relishes meeting the best teams, as he gears up for international duty this week.

The Scottish star moved to east London in January from Premier League rivals Hull City, but has struggled to find his best form at the London Stadium under boss Slaven Bilic

On Saturday he has another tall task on his hands as Scotland host England in a crucial World Cup qualifier, and the visitors are littered with stars such as Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Scotland are five points behind their great rivals and lost 3-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

But Snodgrass insists playing against top players only motivates him further, and makes him a better player.

“I have never ever had that sort of feeling [fear] since I went down to England,” he said.

“I have always had that drive inside my stomach and that burning feeling to get the success you want to achieve as an individual and to keep hitting targets.

“I want to keep driving forward. I have never had the feeling of being in fear of this player or that player. I look forward to it more than anything.”
