Brighton’s Murray looking forward to testing himself in the Premier League again
Brighton striker Glenn Murray is relishing the chance to test himself in the Premier League once again.
Murray has played in the top flight for both Crystal Palace and Bournemouth and looks set to lead the line for the Seagulls in their first season in the Premier League.
The Seagulls head to Austria for a pre-season camp where they will prepare for the new season in the Premier League.
Brighton have been selected for live TV coverage in four of their first seven matches and Murray believes they can have a free run with the pressure off them.
Chris Hughton’s men host Man City first, then there’s a trip to Leicester before going to Watford before they entertain West Brom.
After that, they go to Bournemouth, host Newcastle and visit Arsenal in what looks like a tough start.
Murray said: “It’s almost like a free game (facing City), but they are there to be won and everyone has their off days.
“At the end of the day, they’re only 11 men and we’ll be on it and trying our best to get points every week, no matter where it will be.
“We start with City and end (the season) with Liverpool, and it doesn’t get any easier in between to be honest.
“It’s a good start for us and it will be a great learning curve to see what the Premier League has to offer and we might learn a few lessons.”
