Kane confident Spurs can challenge Chelsea to the end
Harry Kane believes Tottenham Hotspur have shown title rivals Chelsea that they will push them all the way, despite their defeat to the Blues in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Spurs’ 4-2 loss at Wembley, after they had twice levelled, has been perceived by some as a major psychological blow in their efforts to overturn a four-point gap at the top of the Premier League.
They return to action on Wednesday night against an in-form Crystal Palace, who have beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool in recent weeks to ease their relegation fears.
However, Tottenham travel to Selhurst Park off the back of a seven-game winning streak in the league that has renewed hope that a first title since 1961 is still possible.
Kane said: “I think they [Chelsea] have got respect for us. The way we played for large parts (in the semi-final) we were the better team.

“They know we are going to play like that for the rest of the season and hopefully win games. They know they still have a job to do in the league. But so have we.
“A lot of people will be looking at us now waiting to see what will happen and has the momentum kind of stopped a bit, but we are focused.
“We want to finish strong in the league and learn from what happened last year. The only way we can do that is starting with a win on Wednesday.”
