Capoue and Watford keen to finish season on a high

Etienne Capoue insists Watford still have plenty to play for as they aim to break into the Premier League top ten come the end of the season.

On paper the Hornets have a tricky run in with clashes against Leicester City this weekend followed by Everton, Chelsea and Manchester City before the season’s end.

Walter Mazzarri’s side are sitting 13th in the table coming into this weekend – the same position they finished in last season.

And Capoue admits he and his teammates are keen to carry some momentum into the off season and hopefully break into the top ten.

“They [Leicester] look like they did last season,” he said.

“They’ve come back very strong in the last couple of months. We need to be confident, because to play there is very difficult.

“If we play like a team, and defensively we’re very compact, we can make good attacks for the strikers to score the goals.

“For us (the aim) is to finish as high as possible, and better than last season when we finished 13th.

“We want to improve this table and reach a higher position.

“It’s good to play against them at the end of the season, there will be some good matches.

“We have nothing to lose and the teams we are playing against have a lot to lose.”
