Jenas confident Kane is going nowhere this summer

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas doesn’t envisage striker Harry Kane leaving the club despite another trophyless season.

Harry Kane wrapped up the Premier League golden boot on Sunday with another hat-trick for Spurs.

The Lilywhites thrashed already relegated Hull City 7-1 with Dele Alli, Victor Wanyama, Ben Davies and Toby Alderweireld also getting on the scoresheet.

Spurs will play their home games at Wembley next year after Mauricio Pochettino’s men finished second in the league, one higher than last season.

And while Spurs are continuing to challenge amongst the very best in the Premier League, Jenas is confident Kane will stay with the club.

“I don’t think Harry Kane is a worry, he doesn’t strike me as the type of person who will leave just yet. I think he feels he has things to do in the Premier League,” Jenas said.

“The minute Harry Kane decides to leave it is when Tottenham’s aspirations start to lessen, when they are not chasing Premier League titles, when he’s not in one of the best teams in the league.

“Then he’ll look at whether he has to go to Manchester City to beat Alan Shearer’s record or to Manchester United.”
