Bilic hints he will still be at West Ham next season
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has given the clearest indication yet that he will be at the London Stadium next season.
Bilic came under fire from sections of the West Ham fans during the season as they struggled to adapt to their surroundings at the new stadium.
But Bilic has thanked the fans for their support this term and admitted that they deserved better.
And he also says that he and the team will try and do better next season – suggesting that he expects to be in charge in August.
He said: “They are tremendous fans and I can only promise them that I’m going to give my best and the team is going to do its best to do better next season and to give them more enjoyable games and moments because they definitely deserve it.
“I have two heads because I need to rest but the other part of me can’t wait for the season to start because I really feel we will benefit from this [2016/17] season large.”
Bilic finished seventh in his first season at West Ham – the final one at Upton Park – but the Hammers struggled last season in their new ground and finished 11th.
