Janssen: Kane’s a perfect partner
Tottenham Hotspur front man Vincent Janssen believes Harry Kane’s two years of ploughing away as a lone striker make him fully appreciative of the Dutchman’s efforts.
Despite having little competition at the club to spur him on, Kane won the Premier League golden boot last term with 25 goals – four more strikes than the previous season.
Now, manager Mauricio Pochettino has the option of whether to field Kane behind Janssen, as he did in Saturday’s win over Crystal Palace, or rotate the two.
Janssen, it would appear, is in favour of the former scenario, believing the service he gets from a fellow front-man will be second to none.
“Harry knows what a striker likes, because he is a very good one,” said Janssen, who cost Spurs £17million this summer.

“He knows if a striker is in a good place he has to play the ball.”
The 22-year-old showed he had bought into Pochettino’s high-intensity, all-action style as he continually harassed the Crystal Palace back four on Saturday.
And Janssen says he has no problem with the grittier side of the game.
“I like to work,” he added. “It’s one of my powers.
“It helps me into the game. If you can cope the running you have to do it.”
