Lovren: Klavan and Matip already on Klopp’s wavelength
Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren insists he has already got chemistry with new Anfield arrivals Ragnar Klavan and Joel Matip.
The pair, who arrived from Bundesliga sides FC Augsburg and Schalke in the summer, have both already partnered Lovren in the heart of Jurgen Klopp’s side’s defence.
But, rather than taking time to adjust to the high tempo of the Premier League, Lovren believes the pair have settled in quickly, also fitting in well to the manager’s systems at Anfield.
And with champions Leicester and a trip to Stamford Bridge and Chelsea to come immediately after the international break, Lovren knows the importance of having an integrated squad as quickly as possible.

“They are players with quality and they understand the plan and the meaning of Jürgen, what he wants during training and the games. They have adapted quite quickly,” said Lovren, who admits he took time to settle at Liverpool, following his £20 million move from Southampton two years ago.
“I’m trying my best to be in good shape with each partner – Ragnar, Matip or (Mamadou) Sakho.
“Both of them are great, great lads and great football players, and they know who to ask if they need something.
“It’s always helpful when you speak English or understand it – it’s much easier and faster to adapt to the team.”
