West Brom ready to unleash new duo
Nacer Chadli and Allan Nyom could be set for their West Bromwich Albion debuts this weekend, according to first team coach Ben Garner, after impressing in a 1-0 friendly win over Indian Super League side Delhi Dynamos.
The pair joined the Baggies late in the transfer window and got their first run out in the game, which was the first time a Premier League side has faced an Indian Super League team.
West Brom did not have the window they wanted after missing out on several targets, including William Carvalho and Leicester City’s Jeff Schlupp, which has led to speculation manager Tony Pulis could resign.
The club has handed trials to Premier League veterans Marouane Chamakh and Mohamed Sissoko and both impressed against the Dynamos, but it was Chadli and Nyom who shone.

“They have not played a lot of football in pre-season at the clubs they were at. They both played an hour and did very well and that bodes well for next week,” said Garner ahead of West Brom’s game at Bournemouth on Saturday.
“Chamakh had to come off; he got a bad tackle and has got a cut on his leg unfortunately so it is a shame for him.
“And Sissoko, considering he has not played a game in pre-season, did very well.
“He coped with the pace of the game and got some minutes under his belt so we will see where that one goes from here.”
