Chadli feeling the love from West Brom

Forward Nacer Chadli has revealed he moved from Tottenham Hotspur to the Hawthorns after being won over by the way in which West Bromwich Albion courted him.

Chadli spent three years with Spurs scoring 15 goals in 88 Premier League appearances.

However, he had not started a league game since the north London club’s 1-0 defeat to West Ham United in March and had not featured at all this term.

Deemed to surplus to requirements by manager Mauricio Pochettino, a flurry of interest came the way of Chadli.

The Belgium international eventually completed a £13million move to West Brom last month.

And Chadli, in line to make his Baggies debut away at Bournemouth on Saturday, admitted he felt the love from new boss Tony Pulis and the club’s hierarchy.

“I had a few clubs interested but West Brom came very quickly and they showed concrete interest and wanted to make it happen,” said the 27-year-old.

“I thought if they really want me, it’s important for me to go there and prove myself.

“That’s why I chose West Brom.

“I feel very good; I’ve trained with the lads and felt very good.

“It’s a good group and we’ve done some good training.

“So far, so good.”
