Versatile Valencia a coup for Ron’s Toffees
Enner Valencia will be used in a number of positions by new boss Ronald Koeman after making a switch to Goodison Park.
The Ecuadorian striker managed ten goals in two seasons at West Ham but never quite found his best form in east London.
He arrives at Everton where Romelu Lukaku is the man in possession of the No.9 shirt, but with his ability to play across the front three, Koeman expects to use the two of them together.
And with Everton looking to take a step forward this season after considerable summer investment, the added depth provided by Valencia is an asset Koeman is keen to take advantage of.

“He will bring that competition that all players need,” Koeman said.
“He has pace, he’s physical, he can play in different positions across the front, and he can press.”
While Lukaku is first choice up front at the moment, Valencia could also be tried in that role when the Belgian is not available.
And given the lack of depth in the striking department prior to his arrival, the Ecuadorian should get plenty of chances in the position.
Koeman added: “Of course we have Romelu as a No.9 and we have tried (Gerard) Deulofeu as a nine in pre-season. Valencia can play as a nine too.
“He gives the team more options to start, and that’s the competition that we need.”
