Palace fans will soon see best of McArthur again
Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur concedes he has not been firing on all cylinders so far this term, but believes he is slowly getting back to his best.
The 28-year-old played for only 45 minutes between January 23rd and April 20th last season after tearing ankle ligaments.
McArthur then suffered a knee injury which kept him out of Palace’s pre-season preparations and sat out international duty with Scotland earlier this month as he continues to recuperate.
The former Wigan Athletic man did complete the full 90 minutes in Palace’s win at Middlesbrough at the weekend – his first full outing for club or country since May’s FA Cup final defeat to Manchester United at Wembley.

And though McArthur admits it was a bit of a struggle at the Riverside Stadium, he believes the match represented an important stepping stone in his recovery and now anticipates going from strength to strength.
“I’m getting there,” said McArthur, who joined Palace from Wigan two years ago for £7milllion.
“At the end I was very tired, I just kept kicking the ball away because I was that knackered, but that’s what it takes.
“I’ll get my fitness pretty fast.”
