Keane more than happy with life at Burnley

Chelsea are rumoured to be interested and he turned down Leicester City in the summer but Michael Keane insists he has no regrets over his decision to stay put at Burnley.

The former Manchester United youth product has been a revelation for the Clarets since he joined last year.

Premier League champions Leicester tried to bring the 23-year-old to the Midlands this summer but the Stockport-born centre back preferred to stay under Sean Dyche.

And the defender – who is reportedly a serious transfer target of Chelsea boss Antonio Conte – is happy at Turf Moor.

“It’s flattering when teams like that come in, but I am really happy here,” he said. “The fans have been brilliant with me here as have the manager and players.

“I won’t be looking at them [Leicester] in the Champions League thinking that it could have been me, because I tend to think what will be, will be.

“Hopefully at some time in the future I will get to that level anyway. Leicester have done brilliant and I will be supporting them because I was there on loan anyway but I’m not disappointed I am not there.”
