Cork insists Swans form will pick up
Jack Cork is adamant Swansea City’s form will pick up quickly after the international break, as they look to pull clear of the relegation zone.
Successive home defeats to Manchester City and Liverpool left the Welsh club 17th in the Premier League table after Saturday’s games, and the pressure is mounting on boss Francesco Guidolin.
Swansea were promoted to the Premier League in 2011 but have only been involved in one serious relegation scrap, which cost then boss Garry Monk his job last season.
But Cork is not resigned to another relegation battle, despite letting a lead slip in their 2-1 loss to Liverpool, and believes they can regain their best form soon.

“We’ve had a tough run of games, and we will have to reflect on what we’ve done so far and get some work done for the matches after the break,” he said.
“It’s been tough so far, but we believe we can get the points we are after and climb the table.”
Guidolin agrees with his captain and insists Swansea have been playing well this season, they just haven’t been able to hold on at key moments.
“You can play good games but not get good results,” he said.
“We have played against very strong teams in this period, but I am confident because I saw my team play for 95 minutes with character and also with quality in the first half [against Liverpool].
“If we play this way, I think we can turn our situation around soon. My team is a good team. I am sure we have the qualities to have a good future.”
