Oviedo plans to keep Baines out of Everton team
Bryan Oviedo has been unlucky with injuries at Everton but the left-back believes now is his chance to shine after starting the last two games in place of Leighton Baines.
The Costa Rica international made an impressive start to his Everton career operating on the left wing as well as left-back, only for a broken leg to hamper his progress.
But with Baines out with a hamstring injury, Oviedo has taken his chance and has impressed against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.

And the 26-year-old knows he has to work hard to stay in the team but is feeling confident after finally seeing some match action.
“I’m always training to play. I will continue to work hard in every training session and hopefully I can continue in the team,” he said.
“I need to show more of myself. We have very good players at Everton but I will work hard and hope to have more opportunities in the future.
“Now I need to focus on the national team and come back even stronger. I need to continue because I feel very well and very fit.”
