Bob Bradley desperate to reignite Swansea City fans’ passion

He has already made history as the first American to manage in the Premier League, but new Swansea City boss Bob Bradley insists he will not rest until the Jack Army can feel proud of their side again.

The 58-year-old has a big task on his hands, with the Swans sitting perilously close to the relegation zone having earned just one point from their last six league matches.

Despite managing in America, Egypt, and France, Bradley is perhaps best known for his five-year stint with the USA’s national team – where he laid the foundations for the success the side has enjoyed in recent times under Jurgen Klinsmann.

But with the side still without a win since the opening day of the season, he admits priority number one is restoring self-esteem at the Liberty Stadium.

“The Premier League is absolutely what every manager in the world thinks about and wants to taste,” said Bradley.

“I am really excited to come and work in the best league and make sure that every time we step onto the pitch that our football speaks for itself.

“We must make sure every time we step on the field we are one, strong team ready to give everything for our supporters as I know how much this club means to everybody.

“We have passionate supporters and I certainly understand what the Jack Army is all about.

“The fans are the lifeblood of every team. I remind players every day that when you step on the pitch that you must always understand all of the people who love the club and come rain or shine stand behind the colours.

“For me, the number one responsibility you have as a manager and as players is to make the fans feel proud.”
