Lukaku and Mirallas inspiring Everton’s next generation
Promising forward David Henen claims he can rely on fellow Belgian compatriots Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas to help unlock his true potential with Everton.
The 20-year-old is a prominent member of David Unsworth’s development team and has featured twice for Everton Under-23s in the Checkatrade Trophy this term, against Cheltenham Town and Bolton Wanderers.
His breakthrough in blue follows a loan spell in League One with Fleetwood Town last term, where he played 13 times in all competitions, scoring in a 5-1 defeat of Swindon Town.

And now Henen has high hopes under the wings of fully-fledged Toffees Lukaku, who also came through the Anderlecht youth ranks, and Mirallas.
Henen said: “Kevin and Romelu Lukaku are both very important for me, they’re like my big brothers and I’m very happy about that.
“I feel like I’ve progressed in the last 12 months and now I want to score more goals and get more assists so I can help the team more.
“I will train hard and when there is a chance to be with the first team, I want to show what I can do.”
