Galloway keen to stay and fight at West Brom

Brendan Galloway insists he will not be giving up his spot in the West Bromwich Albion squad without a fight.

The Everton defender is on loan for the season at the Baggies but has found himself on the outside looking in for Tony Pulis’ team of late, missing four of their seven Premier League fixtures.

The 20-year-old did play the full 90 minutes for England Under-21s this week as they downed Bosnia and Herzegovina 5-0, but on club duty he has had to play the waiting game.

And while he left Everton for the season to gain valuable experience under a defensive-minded coach like Pulis, all has not gone exactly to plan for the full-back.

But that has not daunted Galloway, who is adamant he will earn his spot back in the team as the Premier League returns this weekend.

“I’m going to try and work my hardest to get back in the team because that’s where I want to be,” said Galloway.

“I want to be playing week in week out for West Brom.

“I’m working with a really good manager and a really good bunch of players so for my development, it’s perfect.”
