Cabaye relishes attacking life at Palace
After stepping into Jason Puncheon’s shoes to score against Leicester City last week, Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye admitted the licence to attack left him feeling right at home.
Cabaye, 30, earned his reputation as a livewire attacking midfielder with Newcastle, but Alan Pardew has utilised the Frenchman in a deeper role during his time at Selhurst Park.
And the former Paris Saint Germain man hopes he can continue to threaten in attack for the Eagles as they look to push up the Premier League.
“I am enjoying playing in that position because I like to play from box-to-box and I used to play in this position with Lille and Newcastle,” he said.

“I like to be around the edge of the box to score or find a key pass for my teammates, so I’m happy with this position.
“I’m working towards scoring more goals and I want to be a key man for the team. One goal can be the difference between a draw or a win which means it is important for us.
“We have some good players and we create many chances, so it’s important to make that difference on the field and that’s something I’m trying to improve.”
