Ndong rallies the troops after record-breaking start for Sunderland
Sunderland’s record signing Didier Ndong has called on his team-mates to pull together as they look to bounce back from the worst start to a season in Premier League history.
Saturday’s 4-1 home defeat by Arsenal left the Black Cats at the foot of the table and without a league win all season.
And there are reports that manager David Moyes will be sacked if his troops fail to beat Bournemouth at the weekend, with the club’s two points from a possible 30 matching Manchester City record tally from the 1995-1996 campaign when they were relegated.

But Ndong, who the club signed from Lorient for a reported £13.6m in the summer, has insisted the players will be raring to go at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
“We put a lot of effort into the game and we deserved better,” Ndong said.
“We were very happy to make it 1-1 but we made three or four mistakes that we could have avoided.”
He continued: “We have to stick together through the good times and the bad.
“I thought we showed a good face in the second half and that’s what we will do in the next match.
“We will try our best for each other and the fans.”
