Moses relishing link-up with Pedro at Chelsea

Victor Moses has been a revelation in Chelsea’s revival under Antonio Conte, but the Nigerian has tipped his cap to the contribution of Pedro ahead of him.

The Spaniard initially replaced Willian in the Blues line-up when the winger returned home to Brazil following the death of his mother, but since Willian has struggled to break back into the side with Pedro turning in some top-notch performances.

The 29-year-old former Barcelona winger scored against Manchester United and Everton in the Premier League, and the understanding between Pedro and Moses – playing together down the right flank – has flourished.

“We’ve been working hard on it in training,” said Moses. “Pedro has been playing really well, he’s getting used to the Premier League and he understands the game very well.

“He’s enjoying his football, scoring a few goals and helping out defensively as well. I like playing with Pedro, we have a great understanding between us and it’s working well for the team.

“He’s a great player and he’s won everything so you have to respect his achievements. When you come to a new country it can be difficult but he’s got to grips with it now and he’s doing well.

“The fans are enjoying what he brings to the team and we’re all pleased for him.

“We just have to keep believing in ourselves. I’m enjoying my game at the moment and I just want to keep on improving.”
