Lingard urges Manchester United to bounce back in EFL Cup
Jesse Lingard insists Manchester United players cannot afford to let their heads drop despite results not coming their way on the pitch.
The Reds were held to their fourth consecutive home draw in the Premier League on Sunday, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s first-half goal earning them a point against West Ham.
It leaves them sixth in the table, 11 points behind leaders Chelsea, with 13 games played of the current campaign.

The fixture gods have thrown up another home clash with the Hammers in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup on Wednesday and England international Lingard insists United need to focus on the positives in a bid to return to winning ways.
“We’re playing really well but we keep drawing. The performances are there – it’s just [a matter of] putting the ball in the back of the net,” he said.
“It’s four draws in a row with numerous chances – the luck’s not there at the moment. But we have to concentrate on the game on Wednesday now.
“We’ve got high standards this season and for every competition we’re in, our aim is to win. So it’s good we have another game so quickly and we want to bounce back against West Ham.”
