Jesus targets silverware at City after Brazil success
Gabriel Jesus may not have arrived at Manchester City yet but he is already targeting silverware after winning the Brazilian league title.
Jesus is bringing his career in Brazil to a close after agreeing to join Guardiola’s City but before leaving he has helped Palmeiras to a record a ninth title with a game to spare.
The trophy was secured with a 1-0 victory over Chapecoense and alongside the club’s 2015 Brazilian Cup it is the 19-year-olds second piece of professional silverware.
And the youngster is already looking to replicate his incredible return when he starts wearingthe sky blue of City in January.
“Here in Brazil I got the habit of winning titles,” he said.
“Now I hope there are many more to celebrate in the future.”

Jesus has agreed a four-year-deal in Manchester in August but was loaned back to the Sao Paulo club until the end of their season.
And while many City fans are excited to see the Olympic gold medallist run out at the Etihad, the man himself has said he will return to his homeland at some point.
“Unfortunately this was my last game here,” a tearful Jesus said during the celebrations.
“This is not goodbye, this is a ‘see you later.’”
