Burnley’s Marney wants away form improvement for fans
Burnley midfielder Dean Marney admits his side have let down their fans away from home this season and is keen to rectify that in the coming weeks.
The Clarets have only picked up a single Premier League point on their travels so far this season when they drew 0-0 at Old Trafford back in October.
Burnley, who rank fifth in the highest average number of away fans brought to matches, have three away fixtures in as many weeks in December.
And Marney believes his side must increase their energy levels if they’re to become more difficult to beat on the road.

“It’s something we do need to address,” he said.
“We have been a bit chalk and cheese away from home. We haven’t really got to the same energy levels that we do at home.
“It does help when you have the home crowd, who have been brilliant, but we take great fans away and we have sort of let them down quite a few times this season, so it would be nice to go there and put on a performance for them.”
Sean Dyche’s team head to Stoke on Saturday where two Danny Ings goals saw them pick up their first away Premier League win two years ago.
