West Ham have ‘turned a corner’ after United draw, says co-chairman
West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan believes the Hammers have “turned a corner” and are playing “a lot better”, despite their stuttering league form.
Sullivan said the team is much improved after their gutsy 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United last weekend.
This display followed a heart-breaking 3-2 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur, where Spurs striker Harry Kane scored twice in the dying moments to snatch all three points after West Ham were 2-1 up.
The fixture list does not get any easier for the Hammers, who are back at Old Trafford on Wednesday night for the EFL Cup quarter final with Jose Mourinho’s men.

However, despite being 16th in the table, Sullivan is satisfied that manager Slaven Bilic has improved the team’s performances.
“This was always going to be a testing time for the club with the run of hard games we were facing,” said Sullivan.
“But there is no doubt that the team is playing a lot better. Nobody is enjoying looking at the table at the moment but I hope we have now turned a corner.
“We got off to a perfect start against Manchester United on Sunday and it was unfortunate that we could not hold onto the lead.
“But I thought the players showed great determination and a fighting spirit to help us come away with a point.”
