Grant desperate for swift Stoke move
Lee Grant has called on parent club Derby County to not stand in his way from completing a permanent move to Stoke City.
The goalkeeper has excelled since joining the Potters in the summer as back-up to the injured Jack Butland – with Saturday’s defeat to Arsenal just his second in the Premier League since taking the gloves against West Brom in September.
Grant joined on a loan deal until January, but such has been his form for the Potters he is keen to stay permanently and challenge Butland – who is nearing fitness – for the number one spot.

And the 33-year-old admits he is waiting to hear news of his future in the coming weeks.
“I’m very much in the dark unfortunately. I think the football club have made their intentions very clear and it’s pretty simple to see that I would like to stay here, I’ve enjoyed my time immensely,” he said.
“It’s a case now of the two clubs trying to come to some agreement. I hope it won’t be too difficult. I hope my parent club won’t make it too difficult for me.
“You never know. I hope I’ve got more time here, for the rest of the season hopefully.”
