Swans’ Britton focussing on positives from Baggies defeat
Swansea skipper Leon Britton wants his side to focus on the positives from Wednesday’s loss to West Brom as they look for an immediate reaction when they travel to Middlesbrough on Saturday.
The Swans, coming into the midweek fixture on the back of a 3-0 win over fellow strugglers Sunderland, conceded a 14-minute hat-trick to Salomon Rondon in the second half, downing any hopes of picking up points on the road.
Wayne Routledge grabbed a consolation for the visitors with 12 minutes to play, but the damage had already been done.
Britton, though, said his side showed enough in the first half to give them confidence for the festive fixtures.

“It was disappointing,” admitted the midfielder. “In the first half we played some pretty good stuff, but we are talking about 10 or 15 minutes really at the start of the second half which cost us.
“Now we have to dust ourselves down because we have another game in a couple of days and we have to focus on that.
“We have to look ahead. We are all disappointed but we have to recover and go again.
“We have to be ready to go to Middlesbrough to try to end a week which started well on another high note. It’s another chance to try to pick up some points.”
