Spurs boss Pochettino delighted at goalkeeping duo’s new deals
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is “very happy” club captain Hugo Lloris and fellow stopper Michel Vorm have penned new deals with the club.
French custodian Lloris has inked new terms until 2022, while his Dutch team-mate has signed until 2018.
Both goalkeepers spoke fervently about how pleased they were to commit their futures to Tottenham, sentiments that has delighted their Argentine manager.
“I am very pleased that Hugo and Michel are showing their commitment with the club and I think that speaks very well about us and our project,” said Pochettino.

“To hear them makes us very proud about our project, our team, our club and our fans. We are very happy and we hope that not only them but all the players want to be involved for a long time with us.”
Lloris, 30, is also skipper of the France national team, while Vorm, 33, is the oldest member of the squad.
And Pochettino has praised the experience, leadership and professionalism that both players bring to his youthful Spurs side.
“Hugo is a top man, very professional and he’s a natural leader,” he continued. “All the players and all the people respect him. He provides very positive leadership and that is a very good thing for us and for the club.
“Michel is the same – he’s a top man, a top keeper, he’s always very positive and he’s very professional too.”
