Watford boss Mazzarri hints at Sinclair loan
Jerome Sinclair chose Watford over Liverpool because he felt the Hornets would offer more first-team football, but manager Walter Mazzarri has hinted the striker may be forced to leave on loan for regular action this season.
Sinclair scored Watford’s second goal in their 2-0 victory over Burton Albion in the FA Cup third round, but that was his first goal for club.
Premier League heavyweights Liverpool wanted to keep the talented 20-year-old, but he opted to leave last summer, and the move has yet to pay off – with just six appearances in all competitions.

And with Troy Deeney, Odion Ighalo, Isaac Success and Stefano Okaka ahead of him in the pecking order, Mazzarri believes a loan move may be best for Sinclair for the remainder of the campaign.
“He’s a player that is very interesting with great potential but we want to keep performing the best possible way in the Premier League while playing with young players,” he said.
“It’s not easy, as I said the January transfer market is very difficult but we need to understand what’s going to happen in the transfer market with what players are coming in and going out.”
