Robles credits entire team for Everton clean sheets
While Everton’s Joel Robles was delighted to keep another clean sheet on Saturday the goalkeeper knows he couldn’t do it all on his own.
Everton followed up their incredible 4-0 victory over Manchester City last weekend with a narrow 1-0 win over Crystal Palace thanks to a late Seamus Coleman strike.
The win keeps Ronald Koeman’s men just five points behind Manchester United in sixth and Robles was quick to praise the men in front of him after back-to-back clean sheets.
“Not just for me and the defenders, the clean sheet is great for everyone. But it is not the most important thing – that is only the three points,” he said.

“Everybody on the pitch has to work hard for the clean sheet. If you can get one in every match, you are going to win a lot of games.
“Against Palace, we defended really well. It is never easy to do that against them but we did and scored late on. Seamus took his goal really well and made it very difficult for the goalkeeper to save.
“It was a good win. We played well, got the three points and I am so proud of my teammates. It was an important three points and now we need to rest and enjoy them.”
