Livermore delighted at winning start in West Brom shirt
New West Bromwich Albion signing Jake Livermore has heaped praise on his new club’s “great stadium, fans and dressing room”.
Livermore joined Tony Pulis’ side in a £10 million switch from relegation-threatened Hull City, and made his debut in the Baggies’ 2-0 win over struggling Sunderland.
The 27-year-old replaced James Morrison in the 72nd minute to register his first Premier League appearance in Albion colours.
And Livermore was delighted to begin his Baggies career with a victory that kept them eighth in the league.

“It’s great to get off to winning start,” said Livermore. “I thought the lads were very good in the first half particularly.
“Sunderland are a team with quality, but they are fighting for their lives so there was always going to be a period in the game which was difficult for us.
“I thought the boys rode that storm and finished the game off well.
“The manager tells everyone what he wants and all the players know what they are doing on a Saturday.
“Hopefully we can keep pushing up the league. Everyone at the club has the mentality to push it forward.
“It’s a great stadium with great fans and also a great dressing room. I can’t wait to get right into the thick of it.”
