Britos adamant Hornets turnaround on its way
Watford may be on a seven-game winless run in the Premier League but defender Miguel Britos is convinced a turnaround is in the offing.
The Hornets have suffered four defeats and garnered just three draws during their recent cold streak – the latest of which was a 2-2 tie with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last Saturday.
Benik Afobe grabbed an 82nd-minute equaliser for the hosts and Britos admits he is fed up with the downbeat environment at the club that has followed recent results.

“It’s hard because when you don’t win you are upset and sad,” said Britos. “It’s always better when you win to work in the week. This makes thing easy when you win.
“It’s not easy but I think we have left behind the bad moment because now we showed we are improving and we can win against every team.”
Watford – who have dropped to 14th in the Premier League – have been dealing with something of an injury crisis in recent weeks and Britos is adamant that once they are back to full strength, the results will soon improve.
“Now it’s normal you watch a little bit the table because we lost a lot of games and also because we had a lot of important injured players like nine or ten out so it’s not easy as a team to keep winning and getting points,” explained Britos.
“But when the players come back and we have them all fit I think we are a strong team like we showed in the first eight games.
“We need Isaac Success back and now Daryl Janmaat’s returned and we need Nordin Amrabat as well. These are big players so I think when they come back we’re going to improve and going to win.”
