Mazzarri happy to settle down with Watford
Walter Mazzarri wants his stay at Watford to be a long and fruitful one, with the former Inter Milan manager loving Premier League life.
Italian Mazzarri is Watford’s eighth manager since 2011, but after finally fulfilling his life-long ambition to manage in England’s top-flight, he is in no hurry to move on.
Watford held Southampton to a 1-1 draw in their Premier League opener, Etienne Capoue finishing well from Troy Deeney’s header.
And Mazzarri thinks both he and the Hornets can grow together.
“The ideal thing would to stay here many years and succeed with Watford,” the 54-year-old said.
“I hope to continue to grow, like I did in Italy. Already me signing a three-year contract gives the idea of what the club wants and what we can do.

“I am first of all a man and a manager and I come here to work because I need objectives and need something to motivate me.
“It has always been something that I have been ambitious for. I am a person who needs to feel the environment and needs to live it.
“I had already felt that stadium environment when I came over with Napoli at Chelsea and Manchester City, and I am very happy to be managing here.”
