Kante: Chelsea still have a long way to go to win title

N’Golo Kante has emphasised that the title race is not over despite Chelsea’s lead at the top of the Premier League looking more and more concrete.

Kante covered every blade of grass and broke up play expertly as Chelsea all but ended Arsenal’s title challenge for another season with an impressive 3-1 victory over their London rivals on Saturday.

The result means Arsenal are now 12 points behind the Blues, while Man City are ten and nearest challengers Tottenham are nine.

But even with a run of six winnable games, including the likes of Burnley, Swansea and Crystal Palace, before their next real test against Manchester City, French international Kante knows the title isn’t Chelsea’s yet.

N'Golo Kante

“Every season is different – this season, there are a lot of competitors for the title and there is still a long way to go,” said the industrious midfielder.

“We can’t say we are close to the title, we just have to fight for every game.

“It’s not finished and a lot of things can happen.

“It was an important week for us with Liverpool and Arsenal, we took four points out of six, and this was a good win for us.”
